High-quality art print of Manningtree, a town in Tendring, Essex. Reputed to be the smallest town in England by area, Manningtree sits on the south bank of the River Stour, which divides Essex from neighbouring Suffolk. Historically, the town was a major port in the wool trade, and was home to Witchfinder General Matthew Hopkins - giving Manningtree its folklore association with witches.

Today, Manningtree is a thriving small town, bordering and almost continuous with the neighbouring parishes of Mistley - which we have also illustrated - and Lawford. The main line from London to Norwich runs through Manningtree, and the Mayflower line runs east to connect the town to Harwich, via Mistley, Wrabness, and Dovercourt.

We've also illustrated Mistley, among other views from across Tendring.

This Essex illustration by artist Rob Wisdom is a high-quality Giclée art print on cotton-rich fine art paper. For our premium travel poster of Manningtree, click here.
