A collection of thirty-five wood engravings and text by John O'Connor which describes his family connections with the village of Knipton in north Leicestershire. Printed on Zerkall mould-made paper in a limited, numbered edition of 200 copies. This is one of 45 special copies quarter bound in Oasis leather accompanied by a separate portfolio containing eight of the engravings. This book is copy number XV and is signed by artist on the colophon. Gilt titling on the spine. Brown end papers together with brown and white sewn headbands. Untrimmed fore edge. The portfolio is quarter bound with dark brown cloth and brown paper covered boards (both these materials are used to cover the slip case). The eight engravings are hand coloured and initialed by the artist. The slip case has a tiny scuff mark to the top margin on one side and a hint of shelf wear on the cloth corners. Otherwise everything is fine condition. Signed by Illustrator(s).
