Just south of the Merstham/Hooley “pass” through the North Downs, Redhill grew up around the road, then the railway. These days, the proximity of the M25 makes it very accessible too – a classic commuter town. More economical and better connected than its neighbour, Reigate, Redhill has many smaller houses and homes. The redevelopment of the centre has often been criticised as somewhat soulless, but Redhill remains an attractive and practical place to live. And a great place for granite and quartz worktops!
