Jonathan Allen won another award Saturday, two months after most of the college football awards are presented.
Alabama's All-American defensive lineman was named the winner of the 2016 Rotary Lombardi Award, which goes annually to the player who best demonstrates outstanding performance and skill and best exemplifies the discipline, virtue and wisdom that defined legendary Green Bay Packers coach Vince Lombardi's exceptional brand of leadership.
The other finalists were Heisman winner Lamar Jackson, former Texas A&M star Myles Garrett and ex-Michigan standout Jabrill Peppers.
It's Allen's fourth national award. He also won two national defensive player of the year awards, the Bronko Nagurski Trophy and the Chuck Bednarik Award, in addition to the Ted Hendricks Trophy, which is presented to the nation's top defensive end.
It's only the second time a Crimson Tide player has won the award. Cornelius Bennett was the winner in 1986.
