Product description
Kasabian ~ Kasabian
Amazon.com
There's nothing particularly original about Kasabian. The hirsute Leicester band swaggers like the Stone Roses, plays dance-rock like Primal Scream, and mouths off like Oasis. Singer Tom Meighan even once famously derided Strokes singer Julian Casablancas in an interview with the NME as a "posh f---ing skier." But these are also the things that make Kasabian's debut so endearing. It's an album that spills over with personality and confidence, delivering massive club anthems in the form of songs like "Processed Beats," "Cutt Off" and "L.S.F. (Lost Souls Forever)," where the band finds just the right balance between primitive riffs and space-age grooves. -- Aidin Vaziri

I have heard that there is some sort of a patch that can be downloaded to fix the copy right protection issue on discs like these. There's always a way to listen to good music, so think twice before writing those 1 star reviews. It's not the band's fault!
Anyway, this disc is a fantastic piece of work. I'm looking forward to more releases from Kasabian.
Ignoring the annoying copy protection, this CD is easily an early frontrunner for best disc of 2005. Highlights are L.S.F., Cutt Off, and Butcher Blues.
