One of my favorite albums of the 80s. Over the years, I've lived one of snore song from this album that I hadn't really paid attention to previously.
Moma is definitely my fav these days
The lime green vinyl is super cool.
Is probably 100 grams... tops. Feels weird in the age of 180 gram vinyl. Still sounds really great. This album is timeless. They didn't really come close afterwards. Bjork went on to a successful weird and wonderful solo career
Her vocals are everything, in terms of this music. The band is good. The other vocalist, Thor Eldon, is unnecessary. Thankfully, he's used to good, and somewhat rare effect. That wasn't the case in the next record.
You could say that the Sugarcubes were a one album wonder. But, it's one great album

Not the real "Life's Too Good"
This item is an import. From where, I have no Idea. It only has 11 tracks on it. The real version has 17 tracks. And this import version has different album art than the real version (I uploaded a pic of the import version). If you want the real version with all 17 tracks, it is at https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000005IRX/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_image_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I remember the first time I heard "Cold sweat" on alternative radio after this album just released. Once I found the cassette I was happy to learn that the rest of the album was at least as good. This record started a life-long crush on Bjork that started when I was 15. This is such an incredible album that I have owned it in three medial formats. I really love the original release and clear sound on vinyl, and I'm a sucker for colored vinyl (this is really cool opaque lime green). I'm hoping other records are released in collectors format. Think I'll shop and see, right now

Listen with an open mind. This album has so many great songs, Bjork is phenomenal.

She puts spiders in her pockets...
What more could you ask for from Bjork. This is a really good album. It's amazing how much the energy turns up every time Bjork takes over the vocals.

I love Bjork! She has a tremendous voice, and she gives 100% on all songs on this early cd for her. I have just started to listen to Bjork in 2015, never realizing she is so outstanding. The group definitely are very good musicians, but Bjork shines. See songs Delicious Demon especially, and Birthday. I was not expecting this cd to be much, and I did say cd. The cd is much cleaner, to me, than the downloaded versions, but that is a different issue. This cd is from 1988 I believe it was dated. But its nicely presented, and there is no evidence of any poorly mixed songs. Nice cd.

Admittedly I haven't actually listened to the vinyl so I can't comment on the quality. I bought this album because I'm a fan of the group and have been since this came out in '88. I wanted to buy this because I'm working on a record display in my house and this is a perfect sleeve/vinyl for that display.
One thing to note, the picture shows the record coming out the side of the cover, but the opening is actually on top, above 'sugar'. This meant displaying slightly different than expected, but it is by no means a drawback to the overall purchase.

I'm a huge Bjork fan, and this band doesn't disappoint. Very unique, which is a breath of fresh air, seeing most music you hear is that written-by-committee purely to move itunes sales crap. Birthday is one of my favorite songs of all time. Glad I picked this up.

Bjork entering the music world outside of Iceland and charming us all with Birthday songs and Motor Crashes and edible demons or strawberry cake.

Unique poetic album
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on August 22, 2015
When i first heard this in 1989 i was very impressionable so the beauty of birthday was amazing as was the whole album. I think the sugarcubes were atheists hence "deus does not exist" but its a wild joyous atheism. Its an optimistic album and the lyrics you could class as poetry because they so create a unique visionary world for the listener. Lifes too good realy is a gem so if you havent heard it yet you're in for a treat. Unless you dont like it, i mean, i cant tell you to like it its up to you. But i was a metalhead when i first heard it and i loved it so that shows how great it is!!
