ARK News... More than nine years ago, a Kurdish couple from the Afrin region of Syrian Kurdistan was missing and their fate is unknown, and there is no information about them until now, as communication with them was cut off while they were on their way to Beirut, the capital of Lebanon in 2013.

According to ARK sources both of the spouses, Hassan Muhammad Sido, and Fatima Ahmed Omar had no contact with them on February 17, 2013, in the Syrian province of Homs, on the Lebanese border, and since that date, there has been no information about them until now.

The source added: The family did everything in its power to reveal the fate of the couple and circulated their names to humanitarian and international organizations in order to reach them, but the attempts were in vain.

The source confirmed that Hassan Muhammad Sido, who comes from the village of “Bêlê” in Bulbul town, and Fatima Ahmed Omar, who hails from the center of the Bulbul town, were in a car with eleven passengers and the driver.

The family appeals to the humanitarian organizations and the relevant authorities, to reveal the fate of the spouses and to provide any information about them.

Since the outbreak of the war in Syria in 2011, tens of thousands of Syrian citizens, Kurds, and Arabs are registered as missing, as kidnapping has become a phenomenon by the warring parties, in light of the security chaos in all Syrian regions.
