Former singer for The Smiths and chronic foot-in-mouther, Morrissey (Steven Patrick), is about to release his new album, 'I Am Not A Dog On A Chain' and just dropped some samples - one of which features '70s soul and R&B singer Thelma Houston.

You, and Certainly WCBS-FM's Joe Causi, should remember Houston's (no relation to Whitney) 1977 number-one hit "Don't Leave Me This Way," which won the GRAMMY for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance.

The new duet seems to find the modern crooner and Houston taking on the topic of a friend in the midst of drug use -- with "Bobby" constantly trying to hide his problem but everyone, including those who love him dearly, can see right through.

MOZ also offered up two more samples from the album today -- "Knockabout World" and "Love Is On It's Way Out."

'I Am Not A Dog On A Chain,' Morrissey's first album of new material since 2017, will be out on March 20th.
