Woking Cuts: The Vyne Centre, Knaphill

People in Woking are to be asked, once again, what they think about where services should be cut.

The borough council is effectively bankrupt and has a target to save £12m in the next financial year.

From October, there’ll be a formal consultation on plans such as closing Pool in the Park, locking up public loos, and stopping grants to arts and entertainment.

There would also be changes to the way the community day centres are run and places like The Vyne centre in Knaphill could lose its café subsidy.
