On 26 June 25 members made their own way to this perfect oasis of tranquillity located between Northampton and Market Harborough. Here we found roses tumbling over mellow stone walls and perfectly clipped box hedges and carefully mown lawns separating the different parts of the garden into a number of `rooms`, each with a quite different character. Male members of the party were made to feel quite uncomfortable by sight of the pristine vegetable patch with its rows of plants lined up like a military parade and not a weed in sight!
The afternoon was rounded off by tea and cake and a visit to the village church that stands just across the road from The Old Rectory. In spite of a little light rain during the afternoon, this was a most enjoyable visit (PC) »» click here for photos »
