As per their official brand guidelines, Ubuntu logo has three main colors which also form the core palette – orange, white and black. This name of this Debian-based Linux distribution comes from the cultural philosophy of the Nguni people, Bantu ethic people based in South Africa. Their philosophy of I am what I am because of who we all are is translated visually in a creative way in the Ubuntu logo which can be interpreted as people holding hands in a closed circle.
