Zipline Adventure
Feel what it's like to fly at speeds of 20-25 mph on lines up to 50 feet in the air and 780 feet in length. The adventure begins at the top of the mountain and routes you through trees and across the slopes of Boyne Mountain.

The Beach At Deer Lake
Spend the day down at The Beach at Deer Lake and enjoy a wide variety of activities for the whole family to enjoy. Whether you stay dry on a paddleboard or cool off with a quick dip, a day at the beach is a day well spent.

Biking
At Boyne Mountain, skiing isnĘĽt the only way to get from top to bottom. When the snow's gone, the focus changes from two feet to two wheels - and bikers hit the lifts for hours of pedal-powered fun.

Boyne Mountain Wakeboard Camp
When summer's hot sun returns and Deer Lake's water temperature starts to climb, one thing's certain: it's wakeboard season.
Join Brian Snabes and his team for their incomparable five-day camps - including safe, super fun wakeboard instruction - and the chance to share laughter and fun with like-minded friends. Camps are open to boys and girls, aged 7 to 16, of all abilities.

Horseback Riding
Saddle up! Horseback riding at Boyne Mountain is a special way to get outside and experience the natural splendor of northern Michigan.

Horse Drawn Rides
On Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings, all winter long, you can bundle up and settle in while the horses do the walking. Boyne's horse-drawn sleigh rides depart every 30 minutes from the circle drive in front of the Mountain Grand Lodge and Spa, and they're free for all resort guests. 

Tennis
Boyne MountainĘĽs Tennis Center is just a short walk from the Mountain Villas, Mountain Grand Lodge, and Spa, and the Village at Disciples Ridge - with 11 Laykold courts prepped, primed, and ready for action. Stop by the Boyne Country Sports store on your way to the courts, where you'll find all-day racquet rentals at just $2 a day, including three tennis balls.

Boyne Mountain Tennis Academy
Juniors, high school players, and adults looking to amp up their tennis game are invited to take part in the Boyne Mountain Tennis Academy (BMTA). This performance tennis program is your opportunity to learn techniques and skills essential to the game.

Swimming
Pick your favorite Boyne Mountain swimming hole - or try them all:

  • Deer Lake Beach - sandy beach complete with paddleboat, paddleboard, kayak, and boat rentals with a variety of lawn games.
  • The resort's Clock Tower Lodge has an outdoor heated pool adjacent to its gigantic hot tub; open year-round for all resort lodging guests to enjoy.
  • An indoor/outdoor heated pool is located at the Mountain Grand Lodge and Spa and is open year-round for guests of the Mountain Grand Lodge and Spa only.
  • Resort guests not lodging at the Mountain Grand Lodge and Spa may obtain a Day Spa Pass for $35 per person daily and have access to the pool courtyard plus fitness and locker facilities of The Spa at Boyne Mountain.

Children under 12 years of age must be supervised. No glass containers allowed in the pool and beach areas.

Segway Tours
Experience Boyne Mountain Resort as never before with a resort tour on a Segway! You'll receive an orientation about how to ride a Segway (it's fun and easy to learn!). Then you'll cruise with your guide on a tour of Boyne Mountain Resort - enjoying our trail system, learning about area history, and taking in the wonderful vistas of the Boyne Valley and Northern Michigan!

Scenic Cart Rentals
Looking to explore the property without hiking, biking, or taking the chair? Swing by Boyne Country Sports and rent one of Boyne's 6-person Scenic Carts. They have miles of paved paths winding around the resort and plenty of seating for your group to enjoy the scenic vistas. Cruise up Cold Springs on a paved trail before heading out by The Alpine and The Monument golf courses. 

Paintball
Got a friendly score to settle? This is your chance to don some camo, load up on ammo, and put your differences to rest in a flourish of paintball glory. 

Scenic Chairlift Rides
When ski season's in full swing, it's easy to overlook the fact that the chairlift ride is half the fun. So each year, during the offseason, Boyne keeps their Hemlock lift running - providing stunning panoramic views of the valley. Whether you capture the lush green of spring or the brilliant foliage of fall, you'll certainly appreciate the lift.

Kayak Adventures
Tubing may just be the most fun you can have sitting down. Simply grab a tube, hook it on to the conveyor, then turn around, and take a seat; the Top Notch lift will take you to the top of the hill. On your mark, get set, go!

Hiking
Boyne Mountain has miles of hiking trails to tempt adventurous travelers. With plenty of room for exploration on trails suited for every ability level, their well-marked trails make it easy to find your way in and out - while crossing paths with abundant wildlife.

Fishing
Boyne Outfitters is situated at the heart of the Midwest's "Golden Triangle" of fly fishing.  Not only does northern Michigan offer amazing access to miles of pristine blue-ribbon trout streams, but this is also the land of legends. Stop by and let Boyne's friendly and knowledgeable staff at Boyne Outfitters get you set up for your next big adventure on the water!

Disc Golf
Crafted for every age and ability, the Boyne Mountain Disc Golf course features elevation changes, massive trees, and other challenges that bring out the best in every player. Discs are available for rental at the Boyne Mountain Adventure Center ($5 per disc or complimentary for houseguests) or purchase at Abenteuer.

Annual Summer Events

Boyne is a strong believer in the importance of tradition, so that's why they're proud to host several annual winter events each year that have a long history of fun as follows:

  • Dads Fly Free (June)
    Dads can enjoy the thrill of ziplining for FREE Father's Day weekend at Boyne Mountain! Friday through Sunday, show your love for Dad by joining him on a Zipline Adventure Tour or a Twin Zip Ride. Both are FREE for Dad when accompanied by one or more paying family members.

  • Costume Crawl (October)
    Every Thursday at Boyne Mountain,  you've walked, stumbled or crawled to five different bars for the widely popular Mountain Crawl all over Boyne Mountain's property. Now, you can walk, creep, or crawl your way to an all-new Costume Crawl! 

    To celebrate the Halloween season, Boyne introduced a brand new event - featuring a haunted chairlift ride to the Eagle's Nest, a costume contest in the Snowflake Lounge, and spooky drink specials at all your favorite bars. Don't miss your chance to win the Costume Contest at 10:00 pm while DJ Mike spins your favorite dancing tunes in the Snowflake Lounge!

  • Boyne City Restaurant Week (April/May)
    As part of Boyne City's Restaurant Week, enjoy dining specials at the resort's restaurants. 

  • Fly Fishing School (May)
    Cast your line into a new sport or back into an old hobby with Boyne Outfitters at Boyne Mountain Resort! Our Fly Fishing School is the perfect course for anglers of all abilities to begin, practice, or perfect the pastime. Enjoy the great outdoors with helpful and knowledgeable instruction from the Boyne Outfitters crew.

  • Mothers Day Brunch (May)

    Every mother deserves to feel special on Mother's Day, especially the mom in your life. Treat her and the entire family to brunch at the Beach House Restaurant on Deer Lake, in Boyne Falls, Michigan. Brunch will be served from 10:30 am - 2:30 pm on Sunday, May 12. From breakfast favorites to the carving station, there is something for every appetite.

  • Morel Fest Wine & Dine (May)
    Each May, Boyne City fills with hundreds of mushroom lovers from around the country, all seeking that elusive delicacy - the magnificent morel.  Found in nearby woods and clearings, morels are favored by those who know their 'shrooms. To celebrate the hunt, The Morel Fest Wine & Dine takes place at the Beach House Restaurant on Deer Lake, where guests are treated to gourmet hors d'oeuvres featuring many morel dishes prepared by the Boyne Mountain culinary team and paired with fine wines. 

  • Bike Night (May-August)

    We'll provide the fun, food and drink specials, and giveaways; you bring your favorite roadster, hog, or coupe. We don't care what you drive, we just want to see that summer ride! The Clock Tower Lodge circle drive becomes your showplace filled with plenty of bikes and car lovers that share your passion.  

  • Dirty Dog Dash (June)

    The 10th annual Dirty Dog Dash will leave you feeling dirty, tired, and fulfilled. The race route will cover 5km across the slopes of Boyne Mountain Resort with competitors climbing, crawling, wading and sliding to conquer the numerous obstacles in front of them.  The party area will feature live music from the Pistil Whips and cold beer for those 21 and older.

    Also, to awards for the top finishers in each division, we'll recognize other fun awards for best costumes, team spirit, dirtiest dogs and many more! Participants will receive a complimentary beer (21+), an event t-shirt, and a survivor dog tag upon completion of the race.

  • Total Archery Challenge (June)
    Yeti Total Archery Challenge fueled by MTN OPS is coming to Boyne Mountain and bringing you the greatest outdoor 3D archery experience in the nation. We work hard to provide a fun, family-friendly environment where everyone can enjoy the great sport of archery.  It's like Boyne always says, "Life... It's Better with a Bow!"
  • Drive, Chip & Putt (June)

    Juniors will be separated into four age divisions for both boys and girls: 7-9 years old, 10-11 years old, 12-13 years old, 14-15 years old.

    Participants will advance through local, sub-regional, and regional qualifiers conducted throughout the United States. At each qualifying level participants will hit (3) shots at each station (Drive, Chip & Putt) and accumulate points throughout the day. The highest number of accumulated points will be declared as the Overall Champion in their age division. The top three overall point earners in each age & gender division will then move on to compete in a Sub-Regional Qualifier.  At the Sub-Regional, the competition will be run the same. The top two point earners overall in each age & gender division will advance to the Regional Qualifier.  At the Regional the competition will be run the same.  The single overall point earner in each age & gender division will advance to the National Finals on the Sunday before The 2020 Masters at Augusta National Golf Club.

  • Fourth of July
    From parades and games to food and fireworks, there's a festival in our backyard of beautiful northern Michigan to celebrate Independence Day the right way. Boyne City Fourth of July

  • Boyne Thunder (July)
    Speed, excitement, and smiles return to northern Michigan for the Annual Boyne Thunder Poker Run. This unique boating event showcases high-performance boats, slicing through the waters of Lake Charlevoix and Lake Michigan on a 150-mile excursion.

  • Great Lakes HOG Rally (July)
    The Great Lakes HOG Rally returns to Boyne Mountain Resort, site to one of the most highly-attended Michigan H.O.G. rallies ever! This rally is exclusively for members of the Harley Owners Group, but even if you don't ride, you can check out the mass of bikes on the property!

  • Charlevoix Venetian Festival (July)
    The Festival offers a wonderful variety of events geared to delight and entertains every age group. Most events take place within waterfront parks, Round Lake Harbor and Lake Charlevoix. Come join in a variety of fun and exciting events geared to delight and entertain the entire family.   • Tournament of Champions Pro-Am (July)
    Whether you're entertaining clients, escaping with the boys or just need a getaway with the family, the Tournament of Champions Pro-am is an event that will leave a lasting impression.  Packages include three nights of lodging at Boyne Mountain, two rounds of tournament golf on The Alpine at Boyne Mountain and The Links/Quarry at Bay Harbor Golf Club with a PGA golf professional.  Also, participants will enjoy a "top shelf" cocktail party, credit in the Adidas Mobile Pro Shop as well as breakfast and lunch.  Top teams will qualify for prizes.  Sponsorship opportunities are available.

  • Tournament of Champions (July)

    The 28TH Annual Boyne Tournament of Champions brings together the most diverse group of golf champions to The Alpine and Monument courses at Boyne Mountain.  This unique 54-hole event pits men, women, juniors, seniors, professionals, and amateurs against each other to compete with three sets of tees.  Each player has won a Michigan major golf tournament.

    The Boyne Tournament of Champions is sanctioned by the Michigan PGA.

  • Polish Festival (August)
    This is a northern Michigan tradition you don't want to miss!   • Festival On the Bay (August)
    The Petoskey Regional Chamber of Commerce invites you to attend the Annual Festival on the Bay at the Petoskey, Michigan waterfront. Every year, visitors enjoy great music inside the Entertainment Tent and a fun Children's Area all weekend. Other activities include Boat Cruises, a Teen Dance, Chalk & Chocolate Festival, Youth Fishing Derby, Arts, and Crafts Show, a Petting Zoo, and so much more! Event Website
