Wundowie crash: Road horror after female driver is killed after colliding with four truck convoy

A woman has died after her sedan crashed into a convoy of four trucks.

The 49-year-old woman was travelling along the Great Eastern Highway in Wundowie, Western Australia, at about 6.45pm on Wednesday.

According to police, the Hyundai Elantra veered across the road into the westbound lane and collided with the third truck in the convoy.

The 49-year-old woman died at the scene.

However, one eyewitness said initial reports of the crash were incorrect.

The witness told Daily Mail Australia the woman was actually hit by the truck, with the driver potentially blinded by the sun, and that there were no other vehicles involved.
