KURNOOL: Unidentified people set a car ablaze near a showroom in the vicinity of Rangappa Gattu, Kosigi mandal on Saturday. The timely intervention of onlookers prevented a major accident.
The car, belonging to Anumesh, was parked near his showroom. The perpetrators selected the early morning hours to execute their perverse plan, igniting the parked vehicle.
The proximity of a petrol bunk and a parked truck added to the gravity of the situation, increasing the risk of a potential disaster. However, the quick response of people in the vicinity averted the danger. The locals alerted the police and fire wings, who worked together to put off the flames before they could engulf the car entirely.
This occurrence follows a similar incident that took place just four months ago in the same area of Rangappa Gattu Colony. During the incident, a motorcycle owned by a teacher was targeted and set ablaze outside his residence during the night time.
