Rock Hudson may have lost his heart to Doris Day (according to Grease, anyway), but the actress has lost two whole YEARS of her life.
Today (April 3), Doris was meant to be celebrating her 93rd birthday. However, it's now been revealed that the legendary actress and singer is two years older than previously thought.
After tracing her birth certificate, it turns out Doris will actually be celebrating her 95th birthday today.
Que sera sera, eh?
The truth emerged when a copy of the Calamity Jane star's birth certificate was obtained by The AP from Ohio's Office of Vital Statistics.
The certificate revealed that Doris – born Doris Mary Kappelhoff – was actually born on April 3, 1922, making her 95.
"I've always said that age is just a number," Doris said.
"I have never paid much attention to birthdays, but it's great to finally know how old I really am!"
Doris's spokesman Charley Cullen Walters added: "There has long been speculation and rumours about Doris's age and we get this question a lot – looks like we finally have the answer.
"The story I have heard the most is that at one point Doris was up for a role when quite young and her age may have been mis-written on the audition form.
"We don't know if that's correct, but if so it could've simply stuck for all these years."
Happy birthday anyway, Doris! If that is your real name...
