The Kilnsey Estate dates back to the 1100s and was run by monks for 400 years until the land was taken by Henry VIII. The current owners have lived on the estate since 1911.

Today, the 2,000 acre estate is a hub for outdoors activities including mountain biking, fishing and horse riding and home to thousands of wildlife including red squirrels and the UK’s rarest orchid.

It also has its very own lakeside cafe and award-winning smokehouse where you can try their famous Pink Fish & Chips.

Every year the estate is host to Kilnsey show, which attracts up to 15,000 visitors and has been marking the end of summer in the Dales since 1897. With a diverse selection of trade stands, demonstrations and amusements on the field the show ensures there’s something for everyone.
