Obituary
Friedrick Wilhelm Gulzow was born at Wittberg, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany in the year of 1845 and died on February 27, 1918, at 7:30 a.m. at the age of 72 years, nine months and seventeen days. He came to America in the year 1869. He came to Grand Island, Neb., and later moved to Howard county in the year 1872. On December 25, 1873, he was united in marriage to Marie Henrietta Reimers. To this union there were born two children, a son, Wilhelm, and a daughter, Lena. His wife passed away on April 4, 1886, at the age of 34 years. For the past three years he had resided with his daughter at DeWitt, Neb., at which place death occurred following an attack of pneumonia.
The remains arrived in this city this afternoon at 3 o'clock from DeWitt and were taken at once to the home of his son, 505 West John street, where the body will remain until Monday morning when it will be taken to Dannebrog, Neb., and funeral services will take place at 10 o'clock Monday morning from the Lutheran church at that place.
