The most fun you can have with a pair of trainers, never mind the mad dashing through colour stations where you're attacked with sachets of dye. There's also a music festival of colour! Run or Dye takes place not only in London, but all around the country and world.

What locals say about Woolwich

  1. I like the strong sense of the past Woolwich has, combined with its vision for a better future. With its new civic facilities, its controversial yet innovative Tesco, its Grade I and II listed buildings and its new build homes, Woolwich is a hidden gem tucked away in a corner of the Royal Borough of Greenwich. And with Crossrail just a few years away, it might not stay hidden for long.

  2. Woolwich is quiet and peaceful.

About Woolwich

Woolwich is a district in south London, located in the London Borough of Greenwich. Woolwich formed part of Kent until 1889 when the County of London was created. It is notable as a river crossing point, having the Woolwich Ferry (and the lesser-known Woolwich foot tunnel) to North Woolwich. Once redevelopment of the former Royal Arsenal site began, Woolwich started to enjoy a small renaissance. Several High Street chains previously absent from Woolwich have opened branches, and longer-established shops have been refurbished.
