The Château de Mantelon is located in the town of Denée, in Maine-et-Loire, about twenty kilometers south-west of Angers.
The building was built on a hamlet overlooking the Louet, an arm of the Loire, on the left bank, 25 km long.
In its current form, the castle was rebuilt in the 18th century and completed in 1789 just before the Revolution. It adjoins medieval elements that testify to the age of the site… This is the case of a tower that leads to the river via an orangery.
In the 19th century, new developments completed the estate (chapel, entrance pavilions, gates, outbuildings with stable and dairy).
The park is open to visitors from time to time, as are the castle and its annexes which form the hamlet of Mantelon, especially during Heritage Days. As for the Orangerie, receptions and seminars are held there.
