Pre-wedding pictures in Spello, Italy: fill your heart with love
Our country holds many gems in its treasure chest: one of them is Spello, considered one of the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy. With its ancient charm and beautiful surroundings, this hamlet is the perfect setting for romantic pre-wedding pictures. Lindsay and Geoff know that very well, and soon you will see it yourself.

Lindsay and Geoff’s emotional pre-wedding pictures
Spello holds a special place in Lindsay and Geoff’s hearts: it’s a place they visit every year with their family, it’s the destination they chose for their wedding in 2022… and they thought it would have been a good idea to shoot their pre-wedding pictures there, too. A way to honor a town that means so much to them.
So when this cheerful and enthusiastic couple from Chicago came to Umbria, Italy, on holiday, we met for their sweet and meaningful photo session. That day of September was simply perfect: mild, pleasant and with a delicate light that accompanied us the whole time.
We took the first pre-wedding pictures at Buonanotte Barbanera, the villa where Lindsay and Geoff were staying: an amazing accommodation located in an old, deconsecrated church that offers a breathtaking view of the surrounding countryside. Green rolling hills as far as the eye can see!
Spello, Umbria: the perfect setting for a photo shoot
And then, after breaking the ice – which was pretty easy with two lively and lovely souls like them – we went for a walk around the center of Spello. With its narrow alleys that climb up the hill where the village is built, and endless glimpses that surprise you every step of the way, it offers so many backgrounds for emotional pre-wedding pictures that it’s impossible to be disappointed!
Our photo shoot ended at Tili 21, an organic winery embraced by century-old vineyards and olive groves. Besides being a unique environment, that was also another special place for Lindsay and Geoff. And we were lucky enough to witness an incredible sunset among the grapevines: a superb ending to a splendid day.
