Buckhurst Hill is a suburban town in the Epping Forest area of ​​Essex. It forms part of the Greater London Area and was developed following the opening of the railway line in 1856. The area was originally part of the Eastern County Railway and is now the Central Line of the London Underground. According to a recent edition of ‘The Times’, Buckhurst Hill was rated as one of the best places to live in the South East of England in 2023.

Buckhurst Hill's Central Line is located in Zone 5 of the underground station, while Roding Valley is located in Zone 4.The distance to central London is not too far. In conversation with a school colleague,who lives in Buckhurst Hill, he told us the following:

"Roding Valley station is very close to the town, and we have Buckhurst Hill, which is right near the main street.It takes 40 minutes on a good day to get to Central London, so it is not too long."

In addition to beauty salons, there are also many hair salons and nail salons. The area is very pet friendly, so there are plenty of dog grooming boutiques as well. This place is very relaxing. There are many fields and places to walk with your pets and friends. 

"Nature around the area is incredible, there is Epping Forest around the corner, and there is a river down my road that is also very beautiful. The city administration is trying to keep this small town clean and green." said my classmate. 

According to this student, living in this town is not very expensive, but recent inflation has made life difficult for both people and catering establishments. In discussion with one of the employees of the ‘Gosht’ restaurant, she revealed how the hospitality facilities work considering all the obstacles that the year 2023 has brought forth. 

‘Gosht’ is a Turkish restaurant located in the heart of Buckhurst Hill. It is a place of true traditional Mediterranean spirit offering a world class dining experience for those who seek the finest of dining excellence. It opened in 2018 and so far it is rated with 4.5 stars.

“Not only regular customers, but also many tourists are visiting our restaurant. However, it is certainly difficult to work in conditions of high inflation, as in most cases we have to change the prices to higher in order to maintain our reputation and adapt to the market”, said the employee of this restaurant for the Gazette.
