Remains of the Eling tramway on Eling Quay
Disused for many years now, I remember when small steam cranes used to chunter along this track in the 1950s and early 60s, sometimes shunting goods wagons. The wharf that can just be seen on the right where the containers are stored, was once used by coastal vessels to import timber into the Burt Bolton yard.

There is now a proposal to redevelop the whole site to build a supermarket and housing.
