TF4873 : Scotch kiln at Farlesthorpe

taken 10 years ago, near to Farlesthorpe, Lincolnshire, England

Scotch kiln at Farlesthorpe
Scotch kiln at Farlesthorpe
Bricks produced at Farlesthorpe were of a characteristic yellowish colour.
One of the few remaining scotch kilns in Lincolnshire, but has been left to deteriorate, as can be seen by comparison with the 2006 photo TF4873 : Farlesthorpe Brick.
Built in local yellow brick in about 1855, it was in use until about 1905.
