THIS ORGANIZATION NEEDS YOUR HELP NOW TO CONTINUE CHANGING THE LIVES OF BOYS IN BALDWIN COUNTY!!
In the fall of 1966 two boys moved into the first Boys and Girls Ranch of Alabama home, beginning a five decade tradition of caring for Alabama's abused, neglected, homeless and dependent children.
In 1984, the Baldwin County Boys Ranch was established in Summerdale, Alabama, on land that was donated by John B. Foley. The campus now includes two ranch homes, a chapel, gym, pool, office, two staff houses, the boys college home, and support buildings. The boys attend Foley First Baptist church on Sundays and Wednesdays. Ranchers attend Foley and Summerdale schools where they participate in activities such as sports, academic clubs, band, and ROTC. Highlights for the year include: annual fishing and beach trips, concerts, campouts, church youth activities including mission trips, and cookouts.
Life on the Ranches today centers around the same premise the Ranch program was founded on more than 50 years ago. Children live in family situations with house parents on working ranches where Christian principles, hard work, responsibility, manners and loving kindness are used to help children grow strong in body, mind and spirit. It's a formula that has worked for more than five decades and continues to help children find their way.
The operating budget is raised almost exclusively from corporate and private-sector donations as well as fundraising events.
This year has been especially challenging for the Baldwin County Boys Ranch. Due to COVID-19, they were forced to cancel their Annual Yard Sale and the Spring Pig Roast is in serious jeopardy. The money raised at these events each year and general donations is what keeps this organization going. Your donation will go exclusively to the Baldwin County Boys Ranch to fund the program.
