HVS EGM

Notice of Extraordinary General Meeting on Tues 11 June at 7pm to wind up the Society

Dear HVS Members

Despite many appeals over the years, not enough volunteers have come forward to serve as members of the Committee.

Unfortunately several of our stalwarts have now resigned or will soon be moving away from Hurst, and in the absence of replacements to ensure the HVS can function properly, the Committee have reluctantly decided the correct procedure is to dissolve the Society, in accordance with Rule 13 of the Society Rules (available on our website).

The attached Notice is the start of that procedure and is being sent to all members for whom we have contact details.   If the EGM votes in favour of winding up then the committee will be required to follow that process.

With many thanks for your support over the years.  Sad to be doing this, we hope that other local organisations will carry on the good work.

HVS Traffic Calming Strategy

One of the main concerns that HVS members raise is speeding in Hurst.  A lot of work has been done by the Parish Council to reduce speeding, but the problem persists.

HVS have therefore devised a Traffic Calming Strategy which was presented to HPC at the December Council Meeting.  You can view the presentation by clicking here.

In the meantime, if you have any comments or feedback please email us.
