Kheralu, Unjha, Visnagar, Becharaji Election 2017 Results Live News Updates: Counting For Vidhan Sabha Seats in Gujarat Underway

Ahmedabad, Dec 18:  The constituencies of Kheralu, Unjha, Visnagar, Becharaji voted on December 14 in the second phase of the Gujarat Assembly elections 2017. All these constituencies are in the Mahesana district of the state. The counting of votes will begin at 8 am. From Kheralu, in 2017, the BJP fielded Bharatsinh Dabhi, who is the sitting MLA from Kheralu constituency. On the other hand, the Congress fielded Ramji S Thakor from the constituency. In 2012, the BJP’s Bharatsinhji Shankarji Dabhi won 68195 votes to secure the seat, while the Congress’s Thakor Babuji Ujamji secured 49809 votes.

In Unjha this year, the BJP fielded sitting MLA Narayanbhai Lalludas Patel for the Unjha seat. On the other hand, the Congress fielded Dr. Ashaben D. Patel from the constituency. In 2012 polls, BJP’s Narayanbhai Lalludas Patel secured 75708 votes, while the Congress’s Dr. Ashaben D. Patel could secure only  51507 votes.

For assembly elections 2017, the BJP has fielded Rushikeshbhai Patel from Visnagar. The Indian National Congress has fielded Mahesh Patel from the constituency. In 2012, Congress candidate Bholabhai Chaturdas Patel lost the seat to BJP’s Rushikeshbhai Ganeshbhai Patel. BJP won the seat with 76185  votes while Congress could secure only 46786 votes.

In Becharaji, for the 2017 polls, Congress fielded Bharat Thakor. The BJP fielded Rajnibhai Somabhai Patel from the constituency. In 2012, BJP candidate  Rajanikant Omabhai Patel won the seat with 68447 votes. On the other hand, the Congress lost this seat with its candidate Darbar Rajendrasinh Udesinhji who secured 61991 votes.

    The Becharaji seat was claimed by the Indian National Congress candidate Bharatji Sonaji Thakor, who won 80894 seats. Rajnikant Somabhai Patel who was the BJP candidate could secure only 65083 votes.

    The Visnagar assembly constituency was claimed by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Its candidate Rushikesh Ganeshbhai Patel won 77496 and retained his power. On the other hand, Congress candidate Mahendrakumar S. Patel (Mahesh Patel) secured 74627 votes.

    Indian National Congress (INC) candidate Dr. Asha Patel won the Unjha assembly constituency. She won 81797 votes in the assembly polls and defeated Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Narayanbhai Lalludas Patel (Kaka), who managed to secure only 62268 votes.

    The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won the Kheralu seat, with its candidate Dabhi Bharatsinhji Shankarji winning 59847 votes. Independent candidate Mukeshkumar Moghjibhai Desai could secure only 38432 votes.
