Cholet - Pays de la Loire | Agglo Tour 2024: Will we have a sprint in France?

The race is relatively flat but there are some hills that need to be overcome. I don't see anyone putting the pace that high as the most teams have sprinters that will be the highest chance for the team to win. Lets look at the favourites for the 46th edition of Cholet Agglo Tour! favoris et aperçu

*WILL BE COMPLEMENTED AS MORE TEAMS ARE CONFIRMED Favourites: Favorieten

The man to beat for the 46th edition will be Luca Mozzato. The Arkea man suprised everyone when he took the win in Koksijde against a strong Gerben Thijssen and Dylan Groenewegen. He loves a hard race and he will be one of the strongest sprinters at the line. Beating the best sprinters in the world in Koksijde will be a big confidence boost for the Italian.

What to think of Lewis Askey? The young rider of FDJ will be motivated to show himself after a good season without a win. With this field, he will be one of the main favourites for the win!

AG2R will hope the Irish speed cannon Sam Bennett will convert his speed into a win. He came close a few times in Paris - Nice and he got a nice result in GP Denain, finishing 11th. For Sam Bennett however, 11th is not good enough as the 2 times stage winner of the Tour de France is capable of more. Will he succeed in Cholet tomorrow? His teammate Paul Lapeira did it Saturday in Classic Loire Atlantique after a wonderful solo. With Andrea Vendrame they have another card to play in a reduced sprint.

For that, he needs to get rid of Milan Fretin. 22 years old, but he is really fast on the line. He showed himself a couple of times in the UAE tour, comparing himself with the likes of Merlier, De Kleijn and Groenewegen. He has the required speed to win so with him, Cofidis will hope for victory tomorrow.

IPT have the veteran Tom van Asbroeck at the start, and he is in good form. Finishing 6th after a difficult Nokere Koerse, we know he is a man to watch out for. With his experience, we will see him contending for the win. He finished second today after the solo winner, so his form and sprint are good for Sunday.

After Paris - Camembert, we standard need to mention Valentin Ferron when it comes to one-day races. His form is not the same as last year, but everything can change in a second. When it comes to a mass sprint, Total Energies can play the card of Jason Tesson as he has the speed to get a good result after a day like this.

Spanish sprinter Jon Aberasturi also has a good sprint after a hard day. If the tempo is put high, the 34 year old has the experience to win.

Emmanuel Morin came third in Loire Atlantique in the sprint. Will the rider of Van Rysel - Roubaix give the continental team a big win?

Other riders that hope for a good result: Davide Persico (BwB), Jesus Antonio Soto (EKP) and Jesús Ezquerra (Burgos).

Koersvoorspeller:

**** Mozzato

*** Bennett van Asbroeck

** Fretin Askey Aberasturi
* Morin Tesson Vendrame

What a win in Bredene Koksijde by Mozzato, I see him winning in Cholet again tomorrow!
