The church of Stange was first mentioned in 1225. This limestone church is now a landmark waypoint for locals, as well as for travelers. The latter are, for example, on the Olavsweg, which runs directly to the church. The church was renewed and extended several times, especially after the fire of 1620, after which the church was given a new roof and a new tower.
