Greetings, We are glad to bring you a series of sessions of 𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬-𝐎𝐧 𝐑𝐨𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 conducted in collaboration with the Stochastic Robotics Lab, RBCCPS, IISc. The details of the first session are provided below: 𝐷𝑎𝑡𝑒: 23rd March, Saturday 𝑇𝑖𝑚𝑒: 3PM 𝑉𝑒𝑛𝑢𝑒: Seminar Hall, Robert Bosch Centre for Cyber-Physical Systems @ IISc   The primary goal of this session is to provide an introductory understanding and practical usage of such libraries on a surface level without getting overwhelmed at first glance. This is because new frameworks will continue to be released every year. The important thing is knowing how to dissect information when starting out.   𝐴𝑏𝑠𝑡𝑟𝑎𝑐𝑡: Robot Learning is an interdisciplinary field encompassing Robotics and Machine Learning, which equips robots to learn new skills or adaptive behaviors through data-driven techniques. This talk/tutorial explores two popular open-source libraries: JAX and MuJoCo. The session comprises two segments: firstly, a quick start on JAX, covering its fundamental concepts and applications. Subsequently, we delve into MuJoCo, a high-fidelity physics engine optimized for complex contact dynamics. Demonstrating its integration with JAX, we showcase how MuJoCo enables rapid prototyping and training of a humanoid and a quadruped robot to walk/run within minutes.   𝐍𝐨 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐞𝐝. The session is open to all with an inclination towards robotics. He is a second-year Ph.D. student at the Center for Cyber-Physical Systems, IISc, under the guidance of Dr. Shishir Kolathaya.
