Perkinston is located in Stone county and conveniently located to Hattiesburg, Biloxi, and Gulfport. With a population of less than 7600 residents and two neighborhoods, it's the 51st largest city in Mississippi.

Perkinson is a small city, and lacks a public transit system to get to and from work, buy groceries, or take the kids to their doctor's appointment, so you'll want a car. Regardless of the means by which you commute around town, Perkinston is notable in that residents have a longer commute to work than most places, with a commute time from home to work for those of us who live here of more than 37 minutes on average.
