Welcome to Little Witley

Little Witley is a small rural parish (pop. approx 300) situated in the heart of the stunning Worcestershire countryside with views towards the dramatic ruins of English Heritages Witley Court and the Abberley Hills. Little Witley is in Woodbury ward part of Malvern Hills District Council. 

Little Witley itself is surrounded by farmland and cider apple orchards with endless opportunities for walking and riding on the numerous footpaths and bridle ways within the parish.

The historic City of Worcester with its imposing Cathedral and the beautiful River Severn is only 8 miles to the south east of the village. The old Spa town of Droitwich Spa is 8 miles to the East with access to junction 5 of the M5 and Stourport on Severn and Kidderminster are to the north east. To the west of the village lies the beautiful Teme Valley.

The village of Little Witley has a thriving community social scene with Little Witley Village Hall at its centre. Regular activities include sports clubs and fitness classes and regular family bar nights in the village hall bar. The village hall is also home to Little Witley Film Society, Little Witley WI and the Salvo Gun Club.

Little Witley also has the beautiful St Michaels Church at the centre of the village.

The village sits within the catchment area for the highly regarded Chantry High School at Martley, whilst independent education is available at Abberley Hall Prep School and within Worcester via Kings School and the Royal Grammar School. Worcester is also home to the expanding University of Worcester.

The nearby village of Great Witley has a highly regarded primary school, doctor’s surgery and pharmacy, village shop and Post Office offering some banking functionality and a petrol station. Other nearby villages include Holt, Ombersley, Shrawley, Martley and Wichenford where you’ll find cosy country pubs.

Little Witley has excellent transport links. Access to the M5 motorway at junctions 5 and 6  are only 15 minutes away. The nearest train stations to the village are at Droitwich and Hartlebury. They have regular services to Birmingham and Kidderminster allowing for onward travel. There are also two train stations in Worcester, Worcester Foregate Street and Worcester Shrub Hill. Furthermore, Birmingham International Airport is only 45 mins away by car.

Little Witley is therefore a perfect rural retreat with easy access to the conveniences of city life.
