Today recipients of an award from the Industria Felix cultural association for its business excellence in Veneto with the Highest Honour for the best management performance recorded on the 2016 statements, distinguishing itself as a unique wine producer.
The Scientific Committee of the Industria Felix Award identified Masi among the best businesses according to an algorithm that classified the companies assessed by dimensions by best gross operating margin, with positive ROE, in profit and with a growth in staff numbers with respect to the previous year. The statements of 13,718 companies with registered office in Veneto were taken into consideration.
For the second edition of the “Il Veneto che compete” (The competitive Veneto) award, which took place in Venice at the prestigious Belmond Hotel Cipriani, Federico Girotto, CEO of Masi, and Raffaele Boscaini, Masi Marketing Director received the award at the hands of Michele Montemurro, journalist and founder of Industria Felix.
"We are honoured to receive the Felix Industria Award, a major accolade that confirms the results that the Masi Group has achieved in the area of its development strategy. Among the parameters considered for assigning the award is the staff figure. In 2016 we increased our staff from 105 to 129 employees (+23%), which was thanks to the targets that we set ourselves at the time of the listing on AIM Italia: growth through external channels, achieved through the acquisition of Canevel Spumanti in Valdobbiadene, and initiating increasingly direct contact with consumers, thanks to the Masi Wine Experience project and opening of Tenuta Canova in Lazise. Masi is growing the employment base in our area, making the most of the competences linked not only to the wine-growing business, but also to tourism."
Receiving awards together with Masi were a further six Veronese companies out of a total of 44 Venetian companies identified as regional examples of excellence from an investigation into the companies with the best performance, conducted by Industria Felix in collaboration with Cerved and presented during the day.
