The Ridgeway National Trail passes directly through this beautiful and historic village, making it a great place to stop off for lunch or overnight. There is an attractive old church, an extensive recreation ground with a playground and football field, a community-run village shop and a cosy pub (the Perch and Pike) serving food, local ales and locally roasted coffee. There are several notice boards in the area with maps of the village and maps of local walking routes.
