A delegation of Bangladesh Open University led by the vice chancellor professor Syed Humayun Akhter on Thursday paid tributes to the country’s founding president Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at his Tungipara graveyard.

They placed a floral wreath on his grave and stood in solemn silence for some moments, said a press release of the BOU.

They also offered special prayers for the eternal peace of Sheikh Mujib and other members of his family martyred on August 15, 1975.

BOP’s pro-vice chancellor professor Nasim Banu (administration), professor Mahabuba Nasreen (academic), treasurer professor Mostafa Azad Kamal, registrar Md Shafiqul Alam, deans, directors, teachers, officers and other employees were present at the event.

The delegation visited the Bangabandhu museum, library and exhibition centre.
