Dhauraha is one of the 80 constituencies that comes under the Utter Pradesh region. From the year 2008 onwards, it became part of the 543 Lok Sabha constituencies. It is currently headed by Rekha Verma who represents the ruling party Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

As of political history of this region, during the 2019 elections, 16,44,674 people voted, which means only 64.96% people cast their vote. BJP’s candidate had won the 2019 elections of the region by defeating the nearest opposition Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Arshad Lliyas Siddiqui by a total of 1,60,611 votes. BJP has dominated this democracy for the last decade.

Various candidates who are going against each other like Samajwadi Party (SP) Anand Bhaudriya and many more are yet to be announced. The date of voting announced for this constituency is May 13 that is under Phase 4 and the results will be announced on June 4.
