Each year, Shelley hosts the annual Spud Day Festival, a delicious and wonderful festival to celebrate the one thing that Idaho is most known for. Held for more than 90 years, this potato festival in Idaho is a tradition that is truly just as delicious and wonderful as it sounds.

The Idaho Annual Spud Day Festival began in 1927 and has become a long-time tradition for people in southeastern Idaho. In fact, people travel from all over the state to participate in this potato-filled event.

Idaho Spud Day is designed to celebrate the potato. To do that, there is a long list of activities the entire family will enjoy like beauty pageants, 5K races, and pancake breakfasts.
