Formerly the Coach House and Stables to Northwood Park, a large country house which was thought to have been built around 1884. In the 1920s the house became Claymore School, but was demolished after the war. Clock House was originally converted in 1972 and the current owners have made further improvements.

The property is approached off a private lane between double wrought iron hgates set on fine brick pillars on to a gravel drive. Clock House, constructed of mellow red brick with a slate roof and sash windows, is a wonderful family home, arranged over two floors and has well-proportioned, light rooms. The drawing room and dining room are especially elegant rooms for entertaining with French doors to the stone terrace. The sitting room is a cosy room for more relaxed, family living. On the first floor are five bedrooms. The principal bedroom, with views into the walled garden, has an en suite bathroom and dressing room. There is a guest bedroom suite and three further bedrooms and a generous family bathroom.

The garden and grounds are a fabulous feature of the property, with the house sitting centrally in its land. The current owners have expertly created and nurtured the gardens over many years with obvious passion and horticultural knowledge. It gives a magnificent backdrop throughout the seasons. Within the walled garden are well maintained lawns which are surrounded by mature colourful borders. To one end is the heated swimming pool and an old glass house, beside which is a paved south-facing terrace shaded by a magnificent cherry tree. There are now well stocked borders, mature hedging, a lovely parterre rose garden beside the house and a myriad of newly planted trees. Beyond the gardens is the more informal area with paths mown as it meanders through an open area of woodland.

Adjacent to the main house is a separate cottage with two bedrooms, a reception room, bathroom and kitchen/breakfast room.

The nearby village of Sparsholt is a pretty and largely unspoilt Hampshire village, a few miles to the west of Winchester. Within the village is a local shop, church, the highly regarded Plough Inn and Lainston House Hotel. Winchester provides a comprehensive range of shops, cultural and recreational facilities together with a wide choice of restaurants and cafes.

The mainline railway station is within easy reach (about 4.4 miles) and access to the M3 is about 5 miles (Jct 9) from the property. There are several excellent golf courses in the area including Royal Winchester, South Winchester and Leckford Golf Course. Within Winchester is the popular Winchester Tennis and Squash Club, and new leisure centre. Chalk stream fishing can be found on the rivers Test and Itchen whilst the surrounding countryside offers many delightful walks. The house is in the catchment area for Sparsholt Primary School with The Westgate School at secondary and Peter Symonds Sixth Form College beyond. For independent schools the area offers Prince's Mead, Farleigh, Twyford and Pilgrims Preparatory Schools followed by Winchester College, St Swithun's and Godolphin.
