I believe that every person possesses innate creativity and that art can serve as a powerful tool for communication and self-exploration within the therapeutic space. As an emerging art therapist and counselor, I seek to build a collaborative and affirming relationship with my clients to encourage the journey of discovery, healing, and personal growth. I use an eclectic approach, incorporating existentialist, Adlerian, and person-centered theories from an anti-oppressive and liberatory lens to support clients in building skills and gaining insight.
I am committed to creating a safe, trauma-informed, and nurturing environment where you can explore your emotions, gain insight, and develop coping skills. Artmaking can also be incorporated into a therapy session and does not require any previous art skills.
I have always found the act of artmaking to be a powerful exploration of my own thoughts and experiences, and art therapy provides me with an avenue for guiding others in that process. I am dedicated to helping my clients navigate life's challenges and find meaning through creative expression and compassionate therapy.
