Salley Chitlin' Strut Festival

The Salley Chitlin' Strut is an annual festival held the Saturday after Thanksgiving. The main focus of the festival is the preparation and consumption of large amounts of chitterlings, which are fried hog intestines. A parade, carnival rides, country music, arts and crafts and a Chitlin' Strut dance contest round out the festivities. The festival draws huge crowds each year. Folks have attended this festival from all over the United States and even foreign countries.
