An outline application was prepared in order to maximise land value before the client sold this land no longer needed for business operations. Adjacent to a conservation area, and on the edge of the village adjacent to the countryside, the layout sets dwellings around a formal green square at the entrance to the site. Strong use of stone targeted to specific buildings and features in prominent parts of the site adds visual, environmental and commercial value.
