What is a Neighbourhood Standards Agreement (NiSA)?
We believe that everyone should have the right to live in a clean, peaceful and safe
environment.
This NiSA will encourage residents to take more interest within the community, and
will inspire people to take more responsibility within the community and
neighbourhood.
The NiSA outlines the importance of residents and partnering agencies working
together to improve and maintain standards and making it clear who is responsible
for what.
The purpose of this NiSA is for the community to have an active part in the decision
making process on their estate.
The partners to this agreement are:
Severnside Housing
Shropshire Council
Your local Councillor
West Mercia Police
Shrewsbury Town Council
Shropshire Fire and Rescue
Riversway Church
Grange Urban Safety Group
The Grange Sports Centre
Kynaston Road Community Centre
Hope Church

Our commitment
By agreeing to abide by the contents of the NiSA, residents and partners are
committing to the wellbeing of Harlescott Grange and understand that a ‘good
neighbour’ approach and tolerant attitude is needed from everyone.
We will make sure that we respect each other regardless of any differences and will
think about how our behaviour may have an impact on others.
All partners will work in Harlescott Grange to:
Assist residents to resolve problems between themselves
Prevent problems from happening in the first place
Tackle the root cause of any problem by sharing information with partners
Not tolerate crime, anti-social behaviour, vandalism and graffiti
Take appropriate action to tackle anti-social behaviour, nuisance or crime
Take all reports of anti-social behaviour seriously and deal with them
sensitively and confidentially and offer support for witnesses
Encourage people to respect each other and be more involved within the
community
How will this agreement be monitored?
This Neighbourhood Standards Agreement will be reviewed following the first six
months by Severnside’s Resident Inspectors to ensure the residents and partners
are delivering what we promise. From then on, it will be reviewed annually.

All The Kings Men Scuplture Walk
All the Kings Men is a sculpture walk around Harlescott Grange, where King Henry
camped before winning the Battle of Shrewsbury in July 1403.
The walk is designed to stimulate gentle exercise, at the same time as helping people
understand the important history of Harlescott Grange.
It is a one mile circular route which you can join at any point, and includes six
sculptures about the Battle of Shrewsbury.
All of the sculptures were created by local artists who found inspiration and practical
assistance through their work with people from local schools and groups including
The Grange Secondary School
The Grange Junior School
The Learning Pocket Art Group
Greenacres Primary School
The Grange Youth Centre
Along the walk are 35 pavement ‘waymarkers’, which were individually designed by
members of the local community to mark the route of the sculpture trail.
Hate Crime
Hate crimes are any crimes that are targeted at a person because of hostility or
prejudice towards that person’s:
• disability
• race or ethnicity
• religion or belief
• sexual orientation
• transgender identity
This can be committed against a person or property.
A victim does not have to be a member of the group at which the hostility is targeted. In
fact, anyone could be a victim of a hate crime.
Hate crime can take many forms including:
• physical attacks - such as physical assault, damage to property, offensive graffiti,
neighbour disputes and arson
• threat of attack - including offensive letters, abusive or obscene telephone calls,
groups hanging around to intimidate and unfounded, malicious complaints
• verbal abuse or insults - offensive leaflets and posters, abusive gestures,
dumping of rubbish outside homes or through letterboxes, and bullying at school
or in the workplace.

What is a Neighbourhood Standards Agreement (NiSA)?
We believe that everyone should have the right to live in a clean, peaceful and safe
environment.

will inspire people to take more responsibility within the community and
neighbourhood.
The NiSA outlines the importance of residents and partnering agencies working
together to improve and maintain standards and making it clear who is responsible
for what.
The purpose of this NiSA is for the community to have an active part in the decision
making process on their estate.

The walk is designed to stimulate gentle exercise, at the same time as helping people understand the important history of Harlescott Grange. It is a one mile circular route which you can join at any point, and includes six sculptures about the Battle of Shrewsbury. All of the sculptures were created by local artists who found inspiration and practical assistance through their work with people from local schools and groups including The Grange Secondary School The Grange Junior School The Learning Pocket Art Group Greenacres Primary School The Grange Youth Centre Along the walk are 35 pavement ‘waymarkers’, which were individually designed by members of the local community to mark the route of the sculpture trail.
