Description

A long ascent to reach the ridge is not necessary on this tour. The two chairlifts Tgantieni and Scalottas go from Lenzerheide directly to Piz Scalottas. The time saved is needed for the full tour.

The hike leads from Piz Scalottas to Piz Danis and via Stätzerhorn and Fulhorn to Dreibündenstein. At Fulbergegg it descends towards Hühnerköpfe, Alp Malix and finally Brambrüesch, where the hike ends. From there you can take the cable car down to Chur.

The trail is exposed in places and requires surefootedness, but rewards you with a breathtaking panorama of Piz after Piz.

Geheimtipp

Those who do not want to do the whole tour can follow the hiking trail from Piz Danis towards Alp Stätz. There the cable car Heidbüel is waiting for you, with which you can comfortably ride down to Churwalden.

Description

Taking the Tgantieni chairlift, the first step of the tour is comfortably begun. Above lies the alpine path, going to the Tgantieni Mountain Hotel and then further onto the Bergbeizli (small mountain pub) Spoina. The first part runs over well-prepared forest roads with occasional glimpses of Lenzerheide and Heid lake. The gentle descent passes the Valbella hostel and goes through Parpan village back to Churwalden.

A further nature trail brings you to Passugg, which is the source of a famous mineral water. The roaring creek Rabiosa, in Romansch «The Raging», cuts its way through the Passugg gorge. In 1863 this spring was rediscovered, which is known today throughout Switzerland as the mineral springs of Passugg. Next you drop down to Chur and take the gondola back up to Brambrüesch. From here descend again on a tarmac surface to Churwalden, where you take the chairlift Heidbüel.

Sicherheitshinweis

Attention:

- The Tgantieni and Scalottas chairlifts do not transport downhill bikes (double bridge fork)!

- Please note the respective operating times as well as the transport criteria before you start the tour. You can find more information here.

Description

The well-marked mountain hiking trail leads from Klosters (we recommend the Gotschnagrat mountain station as a starting point) over four "crossings" into the Fideriser Heuberge. On the way you pass the idyllically situated Grünsee, where the brave refresh themselves with a jump into the cool water. Via a partly wet and crushed by cows trail over a flat moor of national importance you reach the pass "Strassberger Fürggli". The plateau of the Fideriser Heuberge with two small lakes is home to a diverse flora and fauna. You can spend the night in the Berghaus Arflina at 2000 m above sea level.

On the second day it goes over the Faninpass steeply down into the Varnezatobel. In the wild and partly moderately marked Chuonzentobel you can discover gravel towers as interesting natural phenomena. In the Gasthaus Hochwang you can relax a second time, an extremely varied cuisine and a wonderful panoramic view of the Rätikon accompany the evening.

On the third day it goes over the Furnerberg down to Alp Laubenzug and back up to Stams. The Graubünden Rhine Valley opens up and the view wanders from Chur over the Calanda massif down towards Landquart.

Stages:

Geheimtipp

PostBus from Obersays to Trimmis.

Please note the rest days of Berghaus Arflina Fideriser Heuberge here.

Sicherheitshinweis

The Tobel descents on the second day require sure-footedness.

Ausrüstung

High hiking boots recommended; in wet conditions and cattle, the slope between Duranna Pass and Strassberger Fürggli can be a bit "swampy". We also recommend the usual hiking equipment such as mountain hiking clothing adapted to the season and a map.

Directions

Public Transport

To Landquart take the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB), then take the Rhaetian Railway (RhB) to Klosters Platz. The Gotschnabahn takes you up to the Gotschnagrat most comfortably.

Anreise Information

On the A13 motorway, take exit 14 in Landquart (Davos, Klosters, Vereina) and follow the national road N28 to Klosters and follow the signs towards Gotschnabahn.

Parking

It is recommended to use the parking spaces at Landquart station and then take the Rhaetian Railway to Klosters Platz. Thus, you park your car in an easily accessible location from the end of the tour.

Description

From Brambrüesch, the hike first leads over the plateau, past the mountain restaurants and the ski lift station, and along a wide and gently ascending forest path towards the Edelweiss hut and over the Malixeralp to Spundis, where the view opens up far into the Graubünden Oberland. At this point, the path leads to the right across the plain and later through the forest to the Spundiskopf. Here you can expect a magnificent panorama and especially the view down into the Chur Rhine Valley is very impressive. A great place for a rest before heading back through the forest, on a narrow and initially steep hiking trail, until you finally reach the mountain station of the gondola lift again. In the nearby Battagliahütte you can round off the hike with pleasure before you take the mountain railways back to Chur.
