Growing up half-Japanese and half-British was tough, says Kero Kero Bonito singer

SINGAPORE - Sarah Bonito, the half Japanese and half British singer of indie pop band Kero Kero Bonito, did not have it easy as a child.

"It was very confusing growing up in both countries as a biracial child. No matter where I was because of the way I looked I was seen as an outsider in my own culture and had difficulties fitting in," she tells The Straits Times in a recent interview.
