The Spin Doctors are coming to the Great New York State Fair for the first time.

The '90s pop-rock band will perform Sunday, Sept. 3 at 2 p.m. on the Chevy Court stage during the 2017 NYS Fair. The concert is free with admission to the fair.

Spin Doctors sold more than 10 million copies of their 1991 debut album "Pocket Full of Kryptonite," which featured hits "Two Princes" (featuring the "just go ahead now" chorus), "Little Miss Can't Be Wrong" and "Jimmy Olsen's Blues" (featuring the album title in the lyrics). Led by original lead singer Chris Barron, the group released their most recent album, "If the River was Whiskey," in 2013.

"Spin Doctors bring superior musicianship and a basket of great hits to the Chevy Court stage.  This will be a fun show and a terrific way to spend a Sunday afternoon at the Fair," NYS Fair Acting Director Troy Waffner said Wednesday.

Other concerts announced for the 2017 Chevy Court lineup include:

  • Robert Randolph
  • 3 Doors Down
  • The Fabulous Thunderbirds
  • Herman's Hermits starring Peter Noone
  • Marshall Tucker Band
  • Taylor Dayne

The 2017 New York State Fair runs from Aug. 23 to Sept. 4.
