Doja Cat made her Met Gala 2023 debut giving Choupette realness. The 27-year-old rapper walked the Met steps wearing a white hooded backless Oscar de la Renta gown with a feather train. She finished the look staying incredibly on brand by doing a full prosthetic feline face. Doja Cat decided to be incredibly on theme, paying respect to Karl Lagerfeld's cat, Choupette. Karl loved his cat so much he nicknamed his favorite runway models as “Choupettes.” So, Doja Cat taking a literal route to honor the late designer's legacy is perfectly on theme.

“I feel very calm and relaxed,” Doja told red carpet host LaLa Anthony. “I do hope to have some good conversation, have some fun and meet some cool people. ”

In the last few months, Doja Cat has truly held the title of committing to the bit. Whether it be fashion week or an award show, she's not afraid to go all out. When the rapper first decided to shave her head bald, many tried to reprimand her for it, but she didn't care. She used the moment to explore more incredible beauty looks. Tonight's look has her shaven head covered in a bejeweled hood connected to the dress with cat ears attached to the top. She also had a large jewel attached at the front of the hood, dangling on her forehead.

According to Vogue, the Met Gala's dress code will honor “the artistic methodology and stylistic vocabulary of Karl Lagerfeld's designs through recurring themes across more than 65 years, from the 1950s to his final collection in 2019.” This year's co-chairs of fashion's famous night are Spanish actor Penélope Cruz, singer Dua Lipa, actor Michaela Coel, and tennis player Roger Federer. Additionally, this year's red carpet has a new pair of hosts. Emma Chamberlain, LaLa Anthony, Derek Blasberg, and Chloe Fineman will be walking us through all of the glorious red carpet moments.
