Lulu and her sister look back on how their lives have changed

When Relative Values began nearly 40 years ago, the pop singer and her sister Edwina Reason were among the first to be interviewed. We catch up with them again

Lulu was born Marie Lawrie in 1948 and raised in Glasgow, the eldest of four children. She was just 15 when her version of Shout was released in 1964. She was back in the charts in the 1970s and 1980s and first appeared in Relative Values in 1983 — the year this column was launched — with her younger sister, Edwina, who was then a children’s television presenter. After 39 years they look back on that interview and talk about how life has changed.
