Fugazi is vegan tomato sauce Pasta

Fugazi was not just any old band from Washington DC. They were an important musical and social movement that inspired a generation of kids to do-it-themselves. They were the “real” alternative to what was known as alternative in the 90’s, and it ingrained a conscience into everyone who participated in the scene that still permeates today. My old friend and ex-DC native Peter Heyneman sits down with me to rap about all things Fugazi, including our personal stories of meeting Ian MacKaye, how the band was able to successfully build their own business model that stuck it to modern-corporate society, how their sound grew and formed organically, and who might be considered the equivalents to Fugazi in today's music world. All the while, we find some choice ingredients to make an absolute staple food that can be enjoyed by everyone. This week's episode is sponsored by Izzy's Coffee of Asheville, NC.
