Hari Singh Sapre from the Bhartiya Janta Party and Subhash Bohat Advocate from the Indian National Congress both contested the elections in 2018; however, Hari Singh Sapre of the BJP defeated Subhash Bohat Advocate of the INC with a significant number of votes, i.e., 16695. The total number of Kurwai Assembly electors as of the 2018 Assembly Election was 206178.
