Visit Nara

The waterside complex in Tenri includes areas dedicated to conservation and exhibitions, art and culture, shops and a restaurant, and tourist information. In the Conservation and Exhibition Wing, four conservation laboratories are open to the public year round, focused on Buddhist sculptures, paintings and calligraphy, historical buildings, and archaeological artifacts, respectively.
In the Artistic Culture Wing, visitors have a chance to interact and meet with artists during public viewings. In the Culture Exchange Wing, visitors can enjoy local foods, and shop for traditional crafts. The Information Wing provides historical, cultural, or touristic information for all areas of Nara Prefecture.
