Truven Health Analytics recently released its list of the nation’s top hospital. The data-driven analytics and solutions provider has ranked hospitals annually since 1993.

It’s the third time in five years Truven has recognized Dupont Hospital. It was also named a top hospital in 2012.

“Nearly 15 years after we first opened our doors as a community hospital focused on the delivery of high-quality patient care and customer service, our team members and physicians continue to demonstrate ‘The Dupont Difference’ in all areas,” said Chad Towner, chief executive officer of Dupont Hospital. “Our role as a catalyst in northern Fort Wayne has been due in large part to results verified by independent organizations and the enthusiasm of families who have grown along with us. We view each accolade we receive as a springboard to bigger and better things, not a finish line.”

Jean Chenoweth, senior vice president at Truven Health Analytics, said the nation’s top hospitals should be considered industry standards.

“The 2016 100 Top Hospitals award winners represent the highest national standards in hospital care and management. They set the benchmarks for peers around the country to follow,” said Chenoweth. “Hospitals in three out of the five report groups actually reduced overall expense year over year, while improving patient outcomes – exactly the results that the entire industry hopes to attain.”
